“The very essence of leadership is that you have a vision. It’s got to be a vision you articulate clearly and forcefully on every occasion. You can’t blow an uncertain trumpet.”
Theodore Hesburgh
Leadership on the most basic level is the cultivation of self confidence. In order to lead others, you first need to have the feeling that deep down, you are up to the challenge at hand. Before you convince others to walk with you, you must be totally convinced that you are heading in the right direction and taking the right steps to fulfill your vision.
Having a vision and a reason to reach it gives you the passion and energy to take the next step. Passion and enthusiasm are contagious especially when they are based on motives that ring true throughout your team.
